This article was written as an advertisement and/or travel guide for the Palace Hotel. I removed sections of the article that consisted of nothing but brochure-like material from the hotel website. Still need added sources and to be Wikified in general.Prburley (talk) 16:43, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Prburley, although some edits could be made to make the recent changes more Wikified, they certainly weren't written as an advertisement. Your removal of entire sections and their headings were extreme as much contained factual material entirely free of marketing descriptives. The page was not at all unlike other hotel websites that reference their own public materials. For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarin_Oriental_New_York (or look up any other Mandarin Oriental hotel). Please review "Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion", specifically "Advertising. All information about companies and products are written in an objective and unbiased style. All article topics must be verifiable with independent, third-party sources, so articles about very small "garage" or local companies are typically unacceptable. External links to commercial organizations are acceptable if they identify major organizations which are the topic of the article. Wikipedia neither endorses organizations nor runs affiliate programs. See also Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for guidelines on corporate notability. Those promoting causes or events, or issuing public service announcements, even if noncommercial, should use a forum other than Wikipedia to do so."

There's much to be written about the Palace Hotel from a neutral viewpoint (history, architecture, etc.), but that content should be guided by third party sources.Prburley (talk) 19:29, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

article name change to Palace Hotel Tokyo (no comma)

As far as I can tell, this property is referred to as "Palace Hotel Tokyo", without any commas, in all press releases and marketing materials. I could not find any references to the name using a comma. I'll move the page should there be no objections. --Sesameball^Talk 07:15, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
